Lita Santos opened this space in May 2024, bringing together the two things she had already built a following for in Lagos: a vegan kitchen, and a shop whose stock is never quite the same twice. It grew out of LALITANA — the guesthouse, yoga studio and vegetarian restaurant she ran in the centre of town.
The kitchen is small and deliberate: vegan cakes, smoothies, fresh juices and light dishes, made with local, seasonal and organic ingredients. The shelves also carry her own Lalitana Vegan Kitchen range — preserves, jams and store-cupboard products — so what you eat here you can take home.
The shop is the part that rewards coming back. Much of what is on display was brought back from Lita's own travels, which means pieces are one-off or arrive in small numbers and the catalogue turns over constantly: art, decorative objects, accessories and fashion from a wide spread of places. She also designs and sells her own upcycled clothing, and one corner is given over to yoga — where the whole LALITANA idea started.
She caters events as well, with live cooking on request and a wine and drinks list chosen to match.
