Luz beach

Located in the parish of Luz, the beach is bounded in the east by "Black Rock", providing summer tourist with a popular escape during the summer.

Located in a bay of calm waters, this beach is a must for water sports lovers. Here you can find some of the best conditions for windsurfing, kite-surfing, sailing and diving. The Rocha Negra (Black Rock) is a volcanic steaming originated in Serra de Monchique stand out from the white cliffs made of limestone and marl-stone. Running along the seafront you can find a traditional Portuguese Paved avenue, were you can find a variety of sun-filled outdoors cafés and restaurants. In summer time is also common to find street entertainment along the avenue.
